Bougainvillea, també coneguda com flor de paper és un nadiu de Brasil i pertany a la família Nyctaginaceae. Aquesta enfiladissa tropical és ideal per cistelles penjants i crescut en contenidors en els que pot cascada seu vibrant floriment vides. La flor és insignificants en comparació amb la de colors brillants, paper-com bràctees que envolten la flor.
Vaig comprar dos hermosas buganvillas plantes aquesta primavera. M'agradaria portar per ells a l'hivern. No tinc un soterrani i el garatge seria massa fred. Algun suggeriment quant a la forma d'emmagatzemar a l'hivern? He de podar quan porto a? En cas de que ho vaig posar a prop d'una finestra o ha de ser fosc?
Bougainvillea són plantes tropicals a la zona resistent 8.-10.. Es toleren temperatures tan fredes com a 30-40 graus, sinó que necessiten protecció o pot congelar i morir.
Per la seva winterover buganvillas en interiors, mantenir-la en el millor, més brillant a la sala de la casa (a l'est o nord finestra) amb temperatures entre 50-60 graus. Si es posa massa calenta, però que creixerà i lanky mirada pàl.lida degut a la manca de llum solar. Menys d'aigua durant l'hivern, permetent que el sòl s'assequi entre reg i no fertilitzar. Vostè pot podar la planta perquè sigui més manejable, però les principals esporga s'ha de fer a la primavera s'inicia abans d'un nou creixement. Es pot deixar caure les seves fulles durant aquest temps, però la idea és mantenir la planta viva fins a la primavera.
WINTEROVER Bougainvillea
En regions més fredes Bougainvillea també poden ser emmagatzemats en un soterrani en suspens o en el garaje. Reduir el reg, la planta de reduir el suficient per que sigui manejable i emmagatzemar en un lloc fresc i fosc quart. La planta deixarà caure les seves fulles. Comproveu periòdicament el terra durant l'hivern, el reg només lleugerament per evitar que s'assequin completament. No fertilitzar durant aquest temps.

Poda buganvillas
Tinc un test buganvillas que ha perdut un munt de fulles i les branques que han perdut les fulles es van assecar i va morir. També té una bona quantitat de nou creixement en altres àrees - que la planta bastant irregular. (creixement d'alguns nous punts morts). Què he de fer el que la planta està plena d'un nou creixement?

Poda Bougainvillea
Vivim en Houston, Texas. El nostre molt madur buganvillas sempre ha florit grans. Però s'està sortint de control de mida de savis. Poda en la part posterior em dur a finals de març, després de la nostra última congelar. Les fulles han crescut, però encara no les flors (que generalment té plena flors per ara). Em donaran flors aquest any? I podar o no massa dur o massa tard?

Jo visc al sud de Califòrnia. Tinc un buganvillas (vermell) a ple sol. És per almenys 30 anys d'edat. Tractar d'aconseguir que s'estenen sobre una zona de porxo sucursals, permetent a créixer en aquesta direcció. Després de diversos anys, té les branques llenyoses i molt escàs creixement de la fulla. Puc podar de nou a la fusta en aquestes branques llarg (potser 15 peus) per promoure el creixement, o he de tallar enlairament i la promoció de noves sucursals per cobrir la zona que vull?

Hem plantat un Bougainvillea el passat mes d'agost en el nostre pati. Vivim en Mexico a la muntanya, on hi ha algunes molt boniques plantes Bougainvillea. Que va florir immediatament, però no ha florit ara per algun temps. Sembla que pot tenir errors perquè les fulles no semblen saludables-arrissat i arrugats. No obstant això, em va fer notar que hi ha un nou creixement. Hem de polvorització amb plaguicides o una llicència i esperar el millor.

Tinc 2 hermosos Bougainvillea, viu al nord-est de Louisiana, que pot ser plantat en el terreny? O que necessiten per a romandre en els contenidors?

Ajuda! No sé res sobre la jardineria i tenen una bonica porpra Bougainvillea. He hagut de fora i en un punt perdut totes les flors i algunes fulles. Fertilitzar i em van pujar a un cicle de reg i les flors van tornar millor que mai. Jo visc a Louisville KY, i amb el temps obtenir més freds que he dut dins l'arbre. Després de llegir tots els informes per sobre m'adono que probablement hagi estat l'excés de reg. Les flors i les fulles comencen a pansides i deixar anar. No estic segur de què esperar durant els mesos d'hivern i que no siguin reducció en l'aigua i mantenir-la en el sol, ¿hi ha alguna cosa més que hagi de fer? Jo visc fora de Longview, Texas (zona 7), i acaba de comprar la més bonica de color taronja cremat (tenir i van!) Boug. i es preguntava si podia planta a terra o cal seguir en un contenidor? El principal problema que tinc és que no tinc en qualsevol lloc adequat per guardar dins durant els mesos d'hivern. Fem arribar alt en el 20 i 30 anys durant l'hivern. És tan bonica i mai he vist un boug aquest color abans i jo definitivament no vull perdre-la.
Jo visc a Gujarat, l'Índia i tinc moltes buganvillas en el meu jardí. estem tenint pluges en aquesta època de l'any. Ells van créixer meravellosament fins al dia d'avui fins que el meu jardiner picat de totes les fulles i branques de la planta dels pobres i tot el que queda ara és la tija principal. va dir que era necessària per al correcte creixement. És necessari tallar totes les fulles i les branques? o només necessita o lleuger retall? cap part de la planta estava mort i el seu creixement ha estat excel lent. si us plau aconsellar amb el que cal fer.

Tenim una casa a la que Espanya té des de fa 3 anys tenia dues plantes floreixen buganvillas. Enguany, la violeta de flor té un color blanc enganxós / polsegós dipòsit de llavors sembla que per passar a la paleta en la qual la planta està lligat polz Algú sap què és això i si és possible tractar?
Jo visc al Comtat de Sonoma Valley i és el meu buganvillas plantats entre algunes roques molt grans a la vessant. Es torna una mica d'aigua d'un sistema de degoteig, i ha estat fent molt bé per els dos anys que he tingut. Aquest any va florir meravellosament, però després durant la darrera setmana les colorides bràctees en aproximadament 3 / 4 de la planta s'han cremat i són tots d'alguna manera es va perdre. Vam tenir alguns mitjans dels 90 dies-grau, però he pensat que els agrada la calor. No he fertilitzar que des de principis de la primavera així que no estic segur de per què es van cremar les bràctees. Qualsevol idea per què? Tinc els meus buganvillas a Florida i que es trobava en plena floració. Estem plantats al pati de l'EM en la seva molt alta, però ara no té flors, però el que de manera cada vegada té un munt de grans fulles verdes ... i un munt d'espines, excepte els que es veu bé! No només flors.

Em van donar una taronja i la seva creixent Bourgainvillea com bojos, per desgràcia no és més que anar amunt sense cap tipus de branques laterals. Uns altres que sembla que és molt saludable! Pot algú dir com fer que en un tipus de forma?
Hey, gran lloc. Jo visc a Bali i tinc 2 madurs Bourgainvilleas que recentment repotted. Lamentablement tots dos han respost malament amb totes les fulles cauen i altres nous que surten només per morir pocs dies després. Crec que les arrels puguin haver estat danyats en el repotting exersize. Pot algú oferir cap consell sobre com recuperar una planta amb arrels danyades.

Només volia dir que aquests llocs sobre buganvillas han estat tan útil per a mi. Vestit meu boug. per l'hivern i la pèrdua de les fulles i s'asseca a terme. Vaig trobar aquest lloc mentre busca informació sobre què fer per a això i han trobat respostes a la meva només la lectura dels llocs d'altres persones. Gràcies per aquest meravellós recurs per hort informació!
Jo visc 30 milles a l'oest de Houston TX Fulshear en l'àrea. A principis de noviembre'07, he comprat 8 hermosas Roja Bouganvillea plantes ja capacitats en forma d'arbre. Que van de 6 peus d'alçada de 3 peus. Estan en bona condició de salut i floriment. Currentlly que es troben en els grans contenidors de plàstic que he comprat és a dir, en ells, 65, 35 i 20 contenidors per galó la mida de l'arbre. Vull plantar al pati a ple sol. El productor em va dir que l'ús de calç i súper fosfat per neutralitzar l'alcalinitat dels sòls d'aquesta àrea per al tractament dels forats per plantar. El productor està situat a més de 100 milles de mi. Dues preguntes. Com faig per anar exactament sobre el tractament dels forats per a la plantació i he d'esperar fins a la primavera per al trasplantament en el terreny en aquesta zona de clima. Encara tinc en els béns mobles de l'Estat en les olles. Alguns consells per protegir la meva inversió apreciada.

Jo visc a Singapur i tenim 2 olles de taronja buganvillas plantes al meu balcó. Aconsegueixen saludable quantitat de llum solar, però no estan creixent bé recentment. Malgrat la fertilització i la poda, les fulles noves surten wrinkly i segueixen sent-ho, fins i tot quan ells creixen més grans. No estic segur si és un problema d'excés d'aigua o si hi ha errors (sense taques blanques, encara que fins a la data). Avisar!

Soc a Orlando, FL. El meu test buganvillas en flor és un bonic fins a les gelades. Em vaig traslladar al meu garatge per a les nits fredes, però es va reduir encara molts de les seves flors i fulles. Ara les flors estan tornant, però les fulles no semblen ser. He de deixar que per si sola, o abonar, o de pruna, o què?
Jo visc a Espanya i ara tenen un apartament amb jardí. El sòl és d'argila. Els nostres veïns tenen diverses buganvillas que són només dos anys i són pròspers i en plena flor del seu jardí, encara que com s'acaba d'aigua com la nostra. He comprat sis buganvillas, però després de dos mesos que han caigut totes les flors i les fulles i tot el que queda és de tres peus tiges en cada planta.
Què faig ara? Li agrairia qualsevol consell.

Hi, I live in London, England and I’ve had a 4 foot bougainvillea since last summer. It was fine last year on my south facing balcony (had maximum sunlight all day) and I brought it indoors during the winter, which was all fine. The weather started to get really warm a few weeks ago, so I put it back out on my balcony, unfortunately it then snowed (mad global warming weather!) and I didn’t bring it back inside in time. Now it the plant seems to have dried out and the flowers and leaves are really cripsy (although haven’t dropped off). This was 3 weeks ago and I’ve brought it back inside in a warm and sunny position, been watering it once a week and hoping it will come back. Any ideas? Time to cut it down 2/3 and start again?

I have just been given a Bougainvillea About four feet high which deer have munched quite a bit off. Can I cut it down by about half as it will be going in a pot outside my front door in full sun. It will require repotting as it was removed from a huge pot and not doing well. I live in the south of British Columbia so the weather is quite mild. (So far)
I live in Athens Georgia and have just purchased 4 hanging boug. baskets. The temps are supposed to go down to 44 and 42 the next couple of nights. Should I bring the baskets into the garage or will they be OK in those temps? I don’t want them to lose their blooms - they are beautiful right now and we are having warms days.

Yes. only had it about 2 weeks now. its quite small but had a bunch of pink flowers at the top and the bottom. all of the bottom flowers have fallen off and a few of the top ones. i live in a flat so there is no option of me putting it outside.
I have a bougainvillea that is a couple of months old, showing new growth, but with the new leaves have black spots (small black raised dots, looking like bugs), as well as beige colored flakes sprinkled all over the stamen and leaves???? What is it?
Yes, and they are definitely tiny bugs. When I scraped them, they came off easily and are dark green, but also there are light green ones, which I couldn’t detect until I scraped them off.

I have 2 Bougainvillea vines in red that are about 4 feet tall. I originally was going to train them to be on a trellis, but cannot do that. Can I train them to be bushes and use in the landscape that way? Thank you
I live in Dallas and have a beautiful fuschia boug that I take in the garage every winter. It bounces back in the spring and looks great all summer. This spring it was magnificent until the first hot day in the low 90s. Knowing it needs to be a bit stressed, I was watering every 2 days and had given it 3-month food about a month ago. (It also sits in direct sun.) After the first hot day (when several of my petunias wilted and died), it dropped all of its flowers. It still has leaves. Will it bloom again? What can I do to prompt more blooming? Is this normal?

Hi. I have the red/pink bougainvilleas and purple that I bought at the same time. I’ve transplanted the 1 red and 1 purple plant into one pot. Red one seems to be doing well but the purple one’s leaves and flowers all dried off. I pruned it until I saw green, on the base, I see a few tiny leaves but that’s it.
What should I do at this point?
I also have planted a red one and purple one in the ground a couple of feet from each other. Again, the purple one doesn’t seem to be doing well at all, I cut it down to about 4 inches from the ground. The red one seemed to be be growing some leaves and flowers, now they’re gone and no more has come up so far. I bought peat moss and dug about an inch and placed some, then put dirt on top of that. I noticed that when I water, the water seems to stand for less than a minute before getting into the dirt/soil. Please help. Want to save my bougainvilleas.
I received a boug hanging basket for mothers day and it was beautiful then. But, it hasn’t had many new blooms. Just a bunch of long spindly branches with old spiky shoots on them. Do I cut the whole branch back, or just the spikes?
In the postings, it is suggested using 1/2 strength fertilizer to boost growth of the bracts/flowers on Bougainvillea. At one point, 10-10-10 was noted and at another 20-20-20 was noted. So, does this mean taking a 20-20-20 solution and dilute it by half according to the package directions? ie, 1/2 t instead of 1 t to gallon of water? Thanks.

I have 2 bougs vines on each post of my pergola, in late spring they were doing great beautiful dark green leaves and loads of fuschia blooms, now one of the vines is doing bad, it’s leaves are turning yellow and no blooms. I live in zone 9 and they get full sun. I water and feed both of them the same. I have loam soil over the clay. Why is one of them doing bad? Thank you
I received an old Bonsai Bougainvillea today and when it was unpacked, found only a few (under 5) leaves attached. The entire tree, save the 5 leaves is bare. It is mid-summer here in SW PA. I watered the plant and placed it in a moderately sunny location. What do I need to do to promote new leaves, if anything.

I brought two very small Bougainvillea plants back to Massachusetts with me, planted them in full sun, in a large pot, and gave them some plant food and a little manure. They have grown like crazy in two months, and are nearly ten times their original size with huge, lush, dark green leaves. The problem is that there is not a single fuschia flower on it. It’s growing so well, but why no flowers? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi, I’m living in the San Francisco Bay Area and have a lovely energetic bougainvillea just outside my livingroom windows. I want to train it into a tree form. The previous owner of my house planted it so that its base is only a few inches from the house and it’s between 2 windows with only about 1 1/2 feet of space between them (the 2 windows). The plant is about 8 feet high. I’ve cut all lower branches to encourage growth above the windows, but it has become top-heavy; it flops over and away from the house and smothers my garden plants. I’ve resorted to propping it up with an above-ground stake, but…. I’ve heard that staking it (sinking posts at its delicate roots) could damage and kill it, and wooden stakes would rot. I can’t find anyone who knows what to do other than drill braces into my stucco house walls to support it, but that would compromise the integrity of the exterior of the house to rain. Any ideas?

I live in San Diego CA and have 3 boug vines espaliered on a wall. They are 30 yrs. old. For the past 2 years the central plant has dropped its leaves, new growth appears, then drops while immature. The leaf surface appears ‘bumpy’. The adjacent plants are healthy and vigorous. We sprayed with Spinnosad. Deep watered. No joy. To break this cycle we recently cut the plant back to bare trunks. Any idea what is happening?

Thanks for the feedback. Not scale. The leaves are thin and slightly ‘wavy’, they lack substance and retain the light green/bronze of new growth instead of darkening and maturing. Rather as if the plant is unable to create healthy leaves. Invisible sucking insect or a virus? Lynne
I live in Palm Springs, CA (desert) with no gardening experience. I just returned from a two week trip. Most of my boug’s new growth leaves have been munched. Also, there is some fine webbing on some leaves and there was a lot of black soot on the pavement below. I haven’t detected bougainvillea looper when I looked close, but that’s what it probably is. Can you confirm? I didn’t know if it was something else because of the webbing and all the black soot on the ground. Thanks.
I live in Colorado and was given a Boug hanging plant in May. It lost all of it’s leaves and flowers, but came back incredibly beautiful throughout the entire summer. Now there are white spots on the pink flowers. They just look like colorless areas on the flowers. What could this be? Also, I would love to keep it alive throughout the winter in this area, what would I do?

Are you overhead spraying the flowers with water? Are the spots fuzzy? Are the spots turning brownish? Are they just on the flower bracts and not the leaves?

I need help!
I recently replanted two bouganvillea’s from a pot into the ground in my Los Angeles garden. There were two plants in the same pot which I separated and planted in different spots. After a week in the ground neither are looking very happy and I’m worried I damaged the root ball’s when replanting them. I’m hoping there is something I can do to rescue these???? Any help would surely be appreciated - It is so sad seeing these once bountiful plants looking so droopy…. Thanks in advance.

I purchased a small bougainvillea plant during the early spring, it is blooming and grown very well as a container plant; however, I live in Zone 7. Since it is quite a large pot I am reluctant to to move it to my garage. Do you have any alternative ways that I can frost proof it instead?

I live in Fort Lauderdale, FL and I have a beautiful Bougainvillea that I planted about one and a half years ago. It had blooms on it when I planted it. It has grown over eight feet high and vines over beautifully, lush and healthy. It has not bloomed since the initial flowers fell off. My neighbor has the same colored Bougainvillea and it blooms a lot. I know that they do not like much water, so the only water it gets is when it rains, which it does a lot during our rainy season (but still does not bloom during the dry season). I cannot understand why mine and my neighbor’s are both outside, get the same rain, but mine does not bloom. I love the color and planted it with love to bloom. Please help!
We have a villa in the Algarve, Portugal where there is a beautiful purple mature (at least 20 years old) bougainvillea .
This year the leaves have developed a white sticky powder and many of the branches appear lifeless, it is a sorry sight.
Has anyone come across this problem and is there a solution.
We have 2 bougs that we planted 2 years ago. They have been mostly leafless and flowerless and grown very little. They are in full sun. Previously we had 2 bougs in same places that thrived beautifully - but frost got them. Ideas?
Wintering bougainvillea
Hi I live in Albuquerque, NM and have three beautiful bougs. All are quite big and are planted in large pots. I’ve heard about taking them in for the winter so they won’t freeze. So my question is, do I just store them in my garage (zero light) until spring or do they need light during their dormant period? Thanks for your help!
I live in Los Angeles and was just gifted with a potted bougainvillea . I want to put in the ground, but I’m not sure when. One (SoCal focused) book said June, but it seems that after the danger of frost would be okay to plant? I am worried about keeping it in a small pot for too long.
I live in Florida and have a beautiful bougainvillea that is planted in the ground ..it was so woody and too big so I had it pruned back to about 4 inches and its starting to get good growth but I would like to train it to be more tree like than bushy..please advise..thank you Sharon
